Farm to College Innovation Highlight: Welcome to the Meals Miles Mission

In 2024, the place many cafeteria meals are heat-and-serve, Alisha seen there may be often a missed connection between college students’ understanding of the place their meals comes from and the appreciation of the onerous work that goes into placing meals on the desk, beginning with the farmers. Alisha determined to develop the Meals Miles Mission, which supplied college students a possibility to go to native farms. These college students got behind-the-scenes excursions of farm operations for them to find out about meals manufacturing and careers associated to agriculture and enhance their publicity to domestically grown commodities.
